NSCA Spain President

The NSCA International Conference is back in Spain! Four years after the success achieved in Murcia, the Universidad Europea de Madrid will hold the 6th NSCA International Conference with a motto that perfectly conveys the mission of our institution: linking sport science and application.

Research in strength training has experienced considerable growth in Spain over the last two decades. Nowadays, it is common to see Spanish researchers among the authors of highly cited articles published by top scientific journals. Likewise, international conferences and congresses count on Spanish speakers and researchers. This scientific expansion has been possible thanks to the invaluable contribution of Spanish universities and their research groups linked to the sport science degree; an undergraduate program that is offered by more than 40 universities in our country. However, the scientific-based knowledge that emerges from the laboratory needs to reach properly the end users and to achieve this, there is still a long way to cover.

The 6th NSCA International Conference in Madrid will provide an unique opportunity to share the most up-to-date knowledge, allowing scientists, strength and conditioning specialists, personal trainers, students and athletes the opportunity to expand their network.
NSCA Spain and the Universidad Europea de Madrid are working very effectively on what promises to be an exceptional meeting and what will ensure NSCA international conferences continue to entail high-quality research discussions in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
On behalf of NSCA Spain, I am happy to welcome you next September in Madrid.
